1. Brief Introduction
PET dehumidifying and drying system is specialized equipment for removing moisture from PET raw materials (pellets, flakes). PET is highly hygroscopic; absorbed moisture will cause bubbles, silver streaks, material degradation and poor product quality during injection molding, extrusion and blow molding. This system efficiently reduces material moisture content to the standard range, ensuring stable plastic processing and qualified finished products.
2. Working Principle
It mainly adopts desiccant wheel dehumidification technology.
Ambient air is filtered and cooled first, then passes through a rotating desiccant wheel to remove water vapor and become low-dew-point dry air.
The dry hot air circulates inside the drying hopper, fully contacts PET materials and takes away internal moisture.
The damp air is sent back to the system for dehumidification and circulation again. Meanwhile, part of the desiccant wheel is heated and regenerated to restore dehumidification capacity, realizing continuous operation.
3. Main Components
Dehumidifier Host: Core part with desiccant wheel, fan, heating module and regeneration system.
Insulated Drying Hopper: Stores and heats PET materials for uniform drying.
Circulation Pipeline & Valves: Convey dry air and control air flow.
Temperature & Dew Point Control System: Monitors and adjusts parameters automatically.
